If the singular eye didn't give it away it's a cyclops.  It would live in a desert like climate with lots of open space for it to lumber around and lots of burnt sienna rock formations and sandy areas for it to blend in with. It has a hard armored eyelid to protect it's only source of sight from damage. Another significant trait is the odd set of thighs that accommodate the heavy weight of the beasts upper body and allow for the legs to be in a bent position with significantly less strain than a standard set of bipedal legs.
