This little guys name is Tog.  His passion in life, as you could have easily guessed, is eating.  For the most part eating people.  This was my first project for my advanced illustration class and I'm kinda iffy about it.  I started thinking about how you often see people kill giant dragons or other larger than life creatures and it just looks completely outrageous and impossible.  So I wanted to design something that was still relatively big but provided a bit more realistic challenge.

I think I met that criteria.  He definitely looks slow at least.  I could see a well trained knight or what have you having a difficult fight with Tog and coming out victorious.  I do however think he came out looking too humorous.  He is supposed to live in a cave as a wizards pet and protect him him from any invaders,  so the atmosphere would be pretty creepy.  Starting Tog I had more of a flabby docile creature in mind, but now I'm rethinking that, and I plan on creating a more serious and scarier version in the future.

This is my color version of the previously mentioned voodoo character.  It felt to me like he was a someone who would have a lot of earthy colors in his clothing.  I figured he would live in or near a swamp and I wanted him to have a feel of decay about him.

This is a turn around for a voodoo priest I created.  I originally drew a sketch of him in my book while I had some free time(I don't know how that happened), and I liked it enough to consider taking it to a color stage.  I included some provincial weapons aswell.
