A map I did of Faal Torin.  It's a very fertile land mass with almost complete coverage of farmable land.  It doesn't have many hilly areas or mountain ranges, but a few exist. It is broken into 3 main areas with a 4th land mass that is not connected in the south west.

I decided to do three more characters in my medieval batman series.  I did Robin, Bane, and Two Face.  Robin has light armor and I pictured as a good archer.  Bane obviously is an executioner.  Two-face and Robin I took a little more liberty with.  There isn't a medieval character that has half a face as far as I know so I had a little more freedom designing him and wasn't transposing him as I did with the other characters.  Meaning, Joker to a jester, Bane to an executioner etc.  I gave him a disfigured half face and armor on his right arm.  I never liked the half and half costumes, and I feel this sort of hints at it without being completely obvious.

I also forgot to mention in the first post that I did these to test out scanning pencil drawings and manipulating them to look like ink drawings.  The original batman was a 20 something minute sketch out of my sketchbook and the rest are similar amounts of time.  The process still needs some tweaking, but I'd say it has promise.

I did a sketch of medieval batman and it got me to thinking batman would be really cool if it were set in that period.  I really liked the idea so I decided to do a quick painting of it.  After just finishing up a freelance job this was a nice little project of my own to do.

It really makes sense if you think about it.  Bruce (or the medieval equivalent) would be rich so he could afford the suit of armor and stuff.  Being that other criminals might not be able to afford armor for their henchmen it makes sense that he could beat up a horde of them if they are so out matched.  His fighting skills would be even more useful because of the lack of guns.  His batarang would fit in more with the medieval setting too.  Plus his nick name is already the Dark Knight!  Like I said, a lot of it makes sense.

I also did two of the villains.  Penguin and Joker lend themselves to this era very well.  Penguin obviously having the plague doctor mask and Joker equally obviously being a jester.  I might make another sheet of more villains and maybe robin just because it was so fun.

I did some artwork of armored warriors.  The first one is obviously meant to have high defense at the cost of movement speed.  It is built so that the face is partially hidden by the chest area and the shoulders are raised creating an odd proportion.  If the helmet was removed one would be able to see the top of the head sticking out and the shoulders would seem to be in line with the bottom of the chest.

The second two are a balance of defense and speed.  The left is a sophisticated suit of armor with a primal twist to it.  It has some fluting and leather straps with iron studs.  It's expert construction provides great defense allowing one to preform the wide swings of the axe hammer with less fear of receiving a blow.

The third is an angular set of armor made for a female.  It also has very good defense as well as a stylistic appearance.  It would be a very expensive set of armor,  but isn't just for show!

The last is armor worn by a slave driver.  The armor doesn't have the best construction and has many weak spots where the wearer is only protected by chain mail.  The armor however isn't meant for armed combat or to protect against blows from swords or maces.  It is meant to protect the wearer in a heard of unarmed and unarmored slaves.  In this armor, simply walking into a crowd can cause fatal injuries, so the slaves wont try attacking the drivers even when they are armed with a rake.  He's a nasty looking guy, but the combination of subpar armor and only having a razor whip and the spikes on it's armor makes it easily stopped by a noble knight.
